1. Why change change Walters name.
2. Did they research it?

To be fair, 'Walter' was already amongst the worst names in wrestling. Side step rather than downgrade.

I honestly don't get why they keep changing names. Literally released a figure of him already.. promo material. To me Walter doesn't sound any worse than Sami or Seth..

He'll only get released in a year anyway.

Gotta make sure he’s got no name value just in case he goes elsewhere. Pre-emptive burying of their own talent to stick it to Tony Khan.

Pretty sad that Dakota Kai was only allowed to start streaming again if she donated any donations to charity because the WWE feel the are entitled to that money otherwise.
Sounds like WWE have already dropped the Gunther name

Am I alone in thinking that Hangman and the World Title is the least interesting thing on AEW?

Eh, I mean lance v page isn't that exciting but his matches so far have been bangers, danielson v dark order was fun and he's decent on the mic.
The 3 v 3 main event on dark with him in it recently was a lot of fun, too.
He probably shouldn't hold on to the belt past the summer but he hasn't ran out of steam yet.

They really don't know what to do with him as the champ. It's making Big Es run look like great booking.

Agree, I think the champ needs to be the focus of the show but I’d argue he’s behind Punk v MJF, Adam Cole, Cody, Jericho & Kingston and now Moxley is back too
Having a fun match on Dark is all well and good but you wouldn’t catch Roman Reigns in a tag match on Sunday Night Heat

It's incredible and entirely predictable that Big E is back to his New Day role so quickly and on next week's smackdown will be facing Corbin and Moss. Another fantastic attempt by the Fed at creating main event level stars. Not to mention he's actually on the RAW roster but who needs logic or consistency.

Also what's happening with Cole? Guy was never big but he's lost any muscle he had in NXT

How many legit potential champs does the Fed have left?
Lesnar, Reigns, and Rollins for sure Lashley and Drew are contenders without being megastars Styles, Orton and Edge wouldn’t take much elevation Then who? Miz? Owens? Sheamus?
They clearly have no faith in New Day as singles stars

Can't remember the last champ that got so much exposure outside the company once they became champ? Doing stuff for Boxing, UFC, American football and loads of other stuff only to be treated poorly by the company he actually works for.

Why do fans question men’s physiques? Always found it curious… must admit over 30 years I’ve never once gone hmmm his muscles aren’t very pronounced.

I find in utterly bizzare as well and I guess long time fans are just used to the juiced guys.

Yeah I mean when I was watching wrasslin in the 90s I'd see all these jacked guys. But all my favourites were never built like brick shit houses. Maybe some fans don't believe Adam Cole is a main eventer because he doesn't look like earlu 00s HHH?

From a WWE standpoint maybe they just wouldn’t find a guy like Adam Cole beating a guy like Brock Lesnar believable.

Problem I see with that is WWE don't give them a chance to get over so he could well beat Lesnar.

Just imagine if WWE had gone ahead with Brock destroying Bryan in 10 seconds to win the title.
Also... damn

It's annoying that they've already set the precedent with Kofi and even Finn Balor that the smaller guys just don't stand a chance. I mean Finn hit the Coupe de Grace clean and Brock just ignored it and tapped him out.
That's one of my biggest bugbears with the product and I'm sad to say it started with John Cena. You can't ignore ring physics. If you're hit with a cross body it's fair enough you can use the horizontal momentum to roll through. If you've hit with a move where the impact is straight down on the mat, like a double foot stomp or a frog splash, you can't just ignore the impact and roll it through. Sell the move, damn it!

Can someone explain why GCW is so popular? I’ve seen some of last night and it’s overbooked garbage wrestling. And judging by the crowd they seem like 90s ECW. Pathetic incels shouting Chelsea’s got STDs… I thought we’d progressed from this?

Probably started with Ultimate Warrior and The Road Warriors, tbh. But yeah, megajacked means Vince lets you no sell. HHH is just an exception where he believed in grappling, working limbs and selling for anyone. Which is why his NXT was so beloved, because he actually saw value in all styles. Also, in baihu's Top Guys™️ list, I'd probably swap Balor for Big E or Ziggler. Ziggler because he's gotten countless opportunities, E because while Vince notoriously had a different idea for New Day at the start, he's always kept the team on top since they broke through, and he's the most sports entertainer of the group. But Vince infamously doesn't believe in Balor. And tbh, while I like his style, I think both he and Ricochet are in that same spot where they can pull off astonishing moves but they have no mic charisma whatsoever which means they'll always be mid-tier guys to the top brass.
