Good half for England, apart from that horrible injury, certainly started off better than Denmark but they've got into the game now though.

Horrible knee injuries seem to be disproportionately affecting women’s football in general, but yeah this does seem quite a tournament for getting hurt. 5Live did a whole show before the World Cup about whats happening and could be done www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0fz20f0Work, life and timezones mean I’ve hardly seen any of this tournament but it feels like the quality has taken another big step up. The games are a lot more competitive too, not just pro sides destroying amateur ones for all the early rounds like it has been in the past. |

Columbia wins against Germany 2-1. Their first goal is one of the best goals you'll have ever seen in women's football. It was a great game.
On the other side of the spectrum Switzerland and NZ played 0-0 in what will be remembered as "ah yes, that happened too". NZ is out which is a bit of a downer for the whole tournament.

Apparently clear and obvious errors that VAR detect takes minutes to work out.
Well that really couldn't have gone too much better, shame Lauren James didn't get the hat trick her play deserved and no clean sheet but 6-1 is certainly nothing to complain about.

Seen a few "all of the possession but none of the goals" type games as well.
I thought it was an enjoyable watch but I'm wondering if the lower bar of standards has been raised, that it's catching out the "pro" teams.
