I can't get the coffee stains from inside my Starbucks flask and it's really irritating me.

I went to a petrol station that was 12p a litre of diesel cheaper than all the local supermarkets prices.
I had to drive 6 miles extra on the way home to get there. Not sure if it was worth it.

The soil in my garden is shit, which means my lawn always looks a bit rubbish.

My soil is basically 3mm deep and underneath is stones, randomly, so my garden is just a mossy shitheap.

We relaid our lawn a couple of years ago and it turns out the builders just buried a load of rubble when they built the house 40 years ago. So it’s mostly stones and glass under there. We got up as much as we could but couldn’t get it all. Bastards.
The boy constantly playing football out there doesn’t help to be fair.

That's probably what they did to ours decades before. We're only rental scumbags sadly so can't dig it up. If it was up to me I'd slab the whole lot.

Our area has clay-based soil. It's a nightmare. No drainage at all, so with a north facing garden, it is basically unusable in the winter. On the plus side, it makes the grass look lush as even in the hottest of summers.

I can't play on my switch while the snooker is on, as I'm the only one really watching the snooker and I'd get an earful if I wasn't paying full attention to it.

Going to stick some grass feed and a some seed in the patchy areas to see if I get it looking ok. But that means keeping the boy off it which is easier said than done. Maybe I need to leave the seed until autumn so he has the summer.

I think autumn is meant to be the better time to do it anyway. Gives it a chance to take hold and grow some roots before the frost hits.
Might as well just enjoy a shitty lawn for the rest of the summer.

I might just do the feed for now. Meant to do that spring and autumn I think. Then seed in the autumn for a slightly less shitty lawn next year.

I've been trying to find old stock of a t-shirt that I had years ago. Blend probably sounded like a great name when they founded the company, but bloody hell they really didn't think it through from an SEO perspective.

Scarifying the motherfucker helps get some grass back, but looks shit until it starts to fill in. Moss can gtf. Even facing west for sun all day, it's not great.

Our nextdoor neighbours have 2 football mad boys, 9 and 5. They are on the lawn all the time. They relaid it last year (without doing anything to help drainage) and it's already a quagmire again. They are attempting to seed again but might just give up and astro it.

I took some initiative for the first time in my life and spiked our clodgy and slab Sussex clay garden with a fork, and it actually helped!
Took me a couple of hours, but it now dries out when it hasn't rained for a day or two, which might happen any week now...

I couldn't fit all the mugs we have in the cupboard, so I put one back in the dishwasher even though it was already clean.
