Snapped mine about 10 years ago during the deed with my now wife.
Was completely out of the blue, 2 seconds of absolutely searing pain followed by 20 minutes standing in the shower wondering when the fuck it was going to stop bleeding.
Didn't go to the quacks, healed after a week or two. Once it's gone you do tend to wonder how it didn't happen sooner, seems like piss poor design for the most part if you ask me.

frenulum tears in adulthood are most commonly experienced when there was insufficient stretching of the elastic in general hygiene during adolescence, apparently

So you're saying that all those with snapped banjos are Smeg heads?

God I thought this was actually about banjos.
And I had no idea the string could actually snap. Now it’s all I’m going to think about.

Snapped mine twice both with same person.
First time I was upstairs in my room with my girlfriend of the time. Had no idea what happened and there was so much blood that it looked like a murder scene. No Google or anything to look it up so my only choice was to go downstairs and ask my mum what had happened. Fucking awesome. Luckily for me my mum was always approachable about things and as awkward as it was it could have been worse.
Second time was in the woods, anyone that found that spot probably called the police thinking there had been a murder.

There hadn't, I never murder people in the woods as it's too cliché.

If a frenulum snaps in the woods with no one to hear it, does it made a sound?

They're always watching though. You know, the doggers.
