One of my cousins has shared a link about the Aspen cards on Bassfook. It claims that illegal asylum seekers are given a preloaded VISA card with £175 on it, to spend every week. This is on top of three square meals a day. Several people expressed anger at it, “Why don’t they look after the pensioners?” I agree pensioners in this country could be better looked after, but the claims made are codswallop. So I shared some fact check links, all of which disprove the claims. I got replies to the tune of it is just denial tactics, that refugees get much more than £175. But the worst one was a guy who posted that the illegal refugee situation is a Jewish conspiracy to import Islam into Europe, create a race of unintelligent, mixed race slaves.it is so brazen and disgusting. And I am sure if I report it, they’ll get thirty days ban and chuff all else.

I’m fed up of hearing about pensioners. Now I’m in a privileged position so I only see the well off, or at least comfortable, ones, but others tell me the poor pensioners are the ones with the pride and not claiming what they are due.
The well off ones though - always telling me how tough they had it. They had dole money, no student fees, housing benefit and a doctor when needed. Even if that asylum stuff had some truth in it, which it won’t, it’s not that large a sum of money compared to what we waste each and every day.

Back to poor pensioners- it would be a lot easier to help them if the better off majority of coffin dodgers didn’t always want a piece of the pie too, no matter how well off they are.

"Never claimed anything in my life and I don't intend to start now"
Yes Dad, but why are you moaning you don't have any money?

I sort of wish I hadn't dug deeper into this story via Reddit: www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj3mxvvr7vroTo be clear, I haven't seen any of the footage and have no desire whatsoever to do so; reading about it (and how it's being spread around via clout-chasing social media dickbags) was more than enough. Just awful stuff all 'round, really.

There are a large number of mentally deficient people in the world. Having said that, I do smile if I happen to look at the clock at 13:37, which happens more often than you might think, so what do I know.

That's kinda funny, but it's not really that different from people thinking that astrology is real, or any one of a number of other quasi-spiritual crazes that have been the next big thing over the years. And by the time it reaches mainstream news writing articles about it, most of it is just stupid people being sold stuff to make them feel like they are part of something too.
Comments, surprisingly, turned off on the article. Can't imagine why.

Some people don’t deserve to have children and some children deserve better parents than the ones that they have. Girl left near death after being drugged by mother www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5yrzdp04zno
