Madame Web? El Muerte? Morbius? I’d love to know what they think the plan is when/if they team up all the D-listers, no-names and Venom at the end of this cycle. Unless the plan is just to throw every property they have at the screen to stop Disney clawing back the rights and there is no overarching narrative plan. 100% obvious they were inspired by that first Suicide Squad movie and want to rebadge The Sinister Six to be a team of anti-heroes reluctantly working together to save the day from a sky-beam It will be up there with such hits as League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and someone taking a big shit after many tacos. Given how out of control Marvel got with Venom’s symbiotes in recent years (especially given he started out as an innocuous magic spider-man costume back in 1984) Sony might want to go that route with the world-ending threat (though they might not have rights to King In Black or whatever it’s name was, they can just fudge something similar together). Or they might look through the list of trash villains they have the rights to and reimagine them as a big deal. Gog for example. |

Who was that weird vampire-looking bloke who killed Peter Parker? Then Peter sort of went into a cocoon or something and when he came out he had spider-stingers or something? This was maybe fifteen years ago.
Anyway, him. He can be the Big Bad of the Secret Six movie, starring loveable rogues Venom, Morbius, Vulture, El Muerte, erm, let's say Black Cat, and, ooh, um, god... Tombstone? Madame Web is clearly the Nick Fury in this scenario.
Edit: Morlun, I think that was his name. The vampire-looking dude.

I really can't help but feel there's something they've done really well to hide. Spiderman was sold on the premise of 3 Spidermen working together but this one is a lesser character and there's something that is maybe not "massive" but on par with Bruce Willis in Split - completely unadvertised or hinted.

Yeah, I'll be disappointed if they give everything away in trailers, but I'm definitely feeling like I should've gone dark about a month ago. Not sure how they'll manage an "oh shit!!!" moment in a film full of these little cameos.
It'll probably be Iron Man or some shit... Yawn

Yeah there’s got to be something big in the movie because it really feels like a) they’ve given a lot away in the clips so far and b) they appear to be going harder in selling this film than almost everything since Endgame

I think Cruise was largely debunked due to filming schedules, and the rumour escalated from what turned out to be clips of Captain Marvel.
My money would be on a Loki cameo, given the multiverse is the key to his whole series.

Given how few female superheroes we've had over the years, it's kinda weird that the main movies *I'd* want to spin off from Spiderman would be Spider Gwen, Mary Jane and Black Cat... and that I can't think of any of the male characters that Sony would have access to that I'd be remotely interested in having a movie based around... except maybe Doc Oc or Sandman. Oh, and obviously Miles.

I’m just hoping Bruce Campbell has a big role, and that ask this reading and rumours doesn’t lead to a big let down. It sent the perfect opportunity to introduce a lot of stuff that hopefully leads somewhere.

I keep forgetting Raimi is directing. Now I want to watch it. So, it comes out in 3 days, on my birthday, but I haven't seen No Way Home yet. Do you guys think I should try and watch that quick before Multiverse? Given my total lack of free time, energy and willpower and that I've failed to go to watch it the last 2 times I tried. I don’t see how Bruce Campbell can have anything more than a joke cameo. He’s a favourite, but I can’t see him playing anything other than an idiot, so he might be in as a joke version of an existing character, like the Simple Rick variant of Iron Man.

If true, Emily Blunt would be good casting for Susan Richards. Although given that 616 Reed Richards is actually a pretty shitty husband maybe having real life spouses play them wouldn't a good idea  |

MCU isn't 616 so it's a simple thing for them to change for these characters.
There's also no way they'd lean in to that considering all the shit going on with Depp v Heard over the last 6 years, and that Disney dropped Depp from Pirates as a result.
