Yeah, that rings a bell. I'm not sure exactly what's going on with the production but clearly the delay started a long time ago.

Well look at that. We really should stop giving "leakers" the time of the day.

Oh, and a very normal response from said leaker

Wow. Just say bad source this time or something and move on.
That response just screams I made it up and didn't expect to be called out.

I think Iām the only person here who actually watched it and MODOK but a second season of Hit Monkey has just landed.
A monkey teams up with the ghost of a hitman and does a load of killing. Its been so long I donāt remember the specifics but I do remember enjoying the first season.

That's a jump to go to Knull just like that.

I can't imagine Knull being any good at all. He's a bit of a dull character anyway - I think the lore surrounding him is pretty cool, and I like the concept of him and think he presented a credible threat, but as an character I've found him a a bit meh. I doubt the film will have time to explore the ridiculous lore and it wont be able to present him as a substantial threat so there's not much left.
If we get a symbiote dragon I'll be happy-ish though.

Quite enjoyed the first two eps. of Agatha All Along, it's got a nice pace to it at the moment.

Saw the first ep, bit of a slow burn, nice creepy start though. Haven't watched ep 2 yet, hoping it goes bananas.

Its a lot better than I was expecting. Doesnāt really feel like a Marvel show at all either. Seems like its going to fall into a similar lore and vibe groove as Netflixās Sabrina more than it will a typical MCU pattern.

The first ep did make me wonder though... How many bums have we seen in the MCU now? I'm counting three and a half (Hulk, Thor, Agatha, and a pixelated Erik Selvig) but maybe I'm forgetting one.

āThat Agatha show is supposed to be good, letās watch thatā
āOk, but first you probably need to watch Wandavision. And for that to make sense, several avengers moviesā
āYeah, no, fuck thatā
You canāt help think this is at least partly to blame for the diminishing returns.

Not seen it, but is it related to any avengers movies?
I got the impression it wasn't even that related to wandavision, other than the fact that watching it will spoiler wandavision. But the trailers and it's very existence do that already.
Though i do agree with your general point.

I watched the first two episodes on my own and other than the fact that Wandavision sets up the character, plot, powers, motivation, setting and concepts, yeah, it has very little to do with it.
(That is slightly sarcastic. After episode two they are firmly on The Quest and I assume references back to it will be kept to a minimum but if you havenāt seen wandavision youād definitely be asking āwhatās going on and why should I care about anything thatās happening?ā)
And, yeah, itās related to the avengers movies in that you need to watch wandavision to understand whatās going on. To understand whatās going on in wandavision, you need to watch the avengers movies (and, reductio ad absurdum, you need to watch a load of stand alone movies to get the most out of them. So to get the most out of this show, you need to have watched about 20 separate pieces of media. Fuck you, casual viewers!)

I think you could probably get away with this one without doing too much homework. There are a couple of conversations where they say āx did y so you should do zā. So they probably give you enough exposition to get by. I donāt really remember what she did in Wandavision and it doesnāt feel like that matters too much.

Yeah, Iāve seen most of Required Background Reading and Iād forgotten a lot of things. Iād even forgotten the scarlet witch died at the end of Dr Strange 2 and I watched that at the cinema.
Like I say, they have arrived in Oz, the main plot has started and they seem to have very definitively left all that behind so, going forward, whatever but I donāt know why you would care.
But other than that, itās not bad. It helped by a stellar cast, though.

I feel like it's a bit redundant to complain about interconnectivity in the MCU at this point. The franchise is 16 years old and counting. Unless you have something totally off to one side like Werewolf By Night, you're bound to get references and call backs.
I think Agatha does a good job considering it follows on directly from the ending of another show.

Itās not that redundant. We sat down to watch something as a family and 2/3rds of the family decided they couldnāt be fucked with it because they hadnāt kept up with everything.
I know thatās kind of the point of it now but what Iām saying is that itās just going to lead to more and more people dropping out, especially if it relies on you having seen shite like secret invasion or The Falcon and Winter Soldier.

Frankly, I don't really recall Agatha's part in WandaVision, apart from some betrayal of sorts, which probably means I paid no attention to the plot whatsoever... which begs the question, why do I keep watching these shows in the first place?!?

She had a pretty major part in Wandavision.
But there are different kinds of requirements/spoilers that have built up with something like the MCU now.
Even if the character has appeared in a previous work, it doesn't necessarily mean you need to have seen that work. (MS Marvel, or Captain Trouble in The Marvels, for example). But on the other hand, if you have seen that work then you're more likely to be invested in the character. And if you plan to watch that work then it feels like it makes sense to watch them in the correct order, especially as later works will often act as 'spoilers' for previous works.
I haven't watched Agatha, so I can't comment on that specifically. But it would be entirely possible to make an Agatha show without any reference to Wanda or Wandavision or any preceding MCU movies, and yet still the very main character would act as a 'spoiler' for one of Wandavision's twists. Or some offhand comment about Wanda or Thanos act as a spoiler for those.
So I get overly-anal about watching them all in order... which just becomes tiring and makes it seem like hard work.

Because you (and me tbf) can't bring ourselves to pick up a book? Actually, in the last few months, I read the 3 Body Problem trilogy, which was bonkers and the first two Dune books (currently reading the third one), which probably explains why I'm sleep deprived
