I've got a Denon Home 250 and it is pretty good for the money and should work for what you want. Only thing to be wary of is the integration with Google home is rubbish, all of the reviews say better support is "coming later" but it never did. The Denon app is a bit clunky, but it's not really a problem as you can either just plug it in, connect via Bluetooth or stream directly to it if you want to avoid using it. I also have a Denon 150 and the sound quality isn't dramatically different, the 250 will be better if your room is big but there's not much difference if you're in a small office. The sound quality won't compare to a dedicated hifi or hifi headphones, but it's decent for the money and convenience. Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it. I think I've been swayed by the Marshall Stanmore 3 though - it looks gorgeous and it seems more suited to the genre of music i'll be playing. They really are the business and they 'feel' right, especially if you're a bit of a guitarist. Even the little on/off sounds are great. I think you'll be pleased with it.

I play guitar (only bass mind) and drums so it seems an ideal fit.
Love the physical knobs on the top - reminds me of fucking about with my amps in my band playing days.
Thanks for the advice Danno, can't wait to listen to it - stupid birthday is still over a month away!

The next games I’ll probably play will be RE4 remakes and Dead Space remake, which is a bit lame considering I’ve completed the former at least 50 times and the latter 5 times You ever played Evil Within 2? Good shout, I’ve never played it Although I hated a lot (most) of the first one, despite completing it a couple of times. It seemed really unbalanced and glitchy I remember one bit where the enemies opened a hatch to attack and it glitched meaning I couldn’t shoot them so had to start again. Then I ended up in an enclosed bit with some tougher enemies but without the ammunition to kill then. I ended up following a guide and nothing it said bore any relation to what happened. It was like “two shots with that and it’s down” and my game was like “pump every single last scrap of ammunition into the thing without missing a shot and it’s still not down. Restart” It was like someone had made a game to make me go insane, so it worked well in that respect

Sequel sounds perfect then (the sequel is actually very good)
Aren't you yet to make a start on Elden Ring?

Don't get me wrong - it's not up there with RE4 (what is?) but it was enjoyable and entertaining most of the way through. Surprised me how much I liked it and I only got round to playing it last year.

Once I start a FROM game I get a bit obsessed and spend far too much time on it, which is good as it means I’m having a great time playing a great game. But bad also as I don’t do anything else Even though I’m not a ‘nerd’ as such I’m the type to create a nice spreadsheet with my optimised character builds and stuff Not a nerd though

You played Elden Ring yet, nerd? Is it good tho? It's a weird one. I'm very nitpicky of it these days, yet at the time I was declaring it the best thing ever and was addicted until the platinum dropped. I do think any souls fan needs to play it tbh.

I know very little about it, I actively avoid all news content, game websites etc as I don’t want to spoil it
However I did read early on that it was an open world game - is that correct? I suppose Dark Souls was “open world” in that you could go in different directions at the start (and you were a masochist)

If you were on PC I saw Evil Within 2 on sale somewhere for around three quid earlier, let me see if I can track it down.

I’m going to play PS4 Ratchet & Clank and The Evil Within 2 I think, then I’ll play PS5 Ratchet & Clank. By they are done RE4 remake will be out. That’s the plan Lost a bid for R&C on eBay just now but glad I did as just checked PSN it was FREE! So downloaded that and The Evil Within 2 - also for FREE! FREE games always taste better I must have added them to my library previously I assume

I've enjoyed all of From's other Soulsy games but didn't get on with Elden Ring myself. It's open world in the more traditional sense than their other games. I have thought about going back to it a couple of times but the prospect just feels like a chore
If you're on Playstation, you could have a look at Nioh/Nioh 2. They have that Dark Souls appeal but are quite different
I'm trying to decide between Prey or Persona 5 Royal (or neither)

I loved Elden Ring when I played it the first time through, possibly more than any other From game. I really cant get the urge to go back to it though. The others I can play over and over again (well, maybe not 2), but something about Elden Ring just doesn't entice me to comeback for more of it.
Definitely worth it for the first play through though.

Had a quick go of Ratchet & Clank PS4, I forgot how much I enjoyed playing these games. I only started from the PS3 ones but enjoyed them immensely back then The Evil Within 2 is just a trial version, I downloaded it from the app and didn’t clock it was a trial. Need to spend £5.24 for the full game

For all the ebay users, its been a few years since I've used it to sell anything substantial, are there potential scams for selling a GPU.
Currently its been won, paid for and shipped and its gone speciall delivery and tracked. I've also sent a whole boatload of images of the card via ebay messaging to show the serial, condition of the backplate, cooler, pipes, shroud, fins and fans etc.
Its all gone really smoothly so I'm just preparing for the 'sting' somewhere

I’m sure it will be fine but there’s some people that won’t sell on eBay as seller protection is basically zero. Buyers can just claim ‘damaged in transit’ and claim a refund
You did the right thing with the photos

I sold about a thousand pounds worth of golf equipment last year and ended up using Facebook Marketplace. Most of the sales were pick up with cash in hand
Only one deal, set of Ping irons for £200, needed me to post it. Used Hermes though and they paid for it, which was nice
