So, Russell Wilson to the Steelers then? Could be the most ridiculous bargain of the season or a big ol flop that doesn’t really cost them much anyway. Win-win I guess. Better than Pickett either way. Been a while now since the Steelers have had a QB anyway, seems like a no brainer for sure.

AFC North is normally the most fun division every season and it is looking spicy next year.

Kirk Cousins to Atlanta, too. They should be a bit tasty. Atlanta needed a QB. When I saw them at Wembley, Ridder was rubbish.

The idea of Fields verses the actuality = 6th round pick
TBF Chicago never built around him.
Who knows how that Stoolers QB room plays out, more questions than answers.

I’m guessing they hope a year under Wilson helps him out. Potentially some amazing business. As you say, Chicago never really gave him a proper go, but towards the end of last season you could really start to see signs of what he could actually do.

Rees-Zammit seems to be a bit disappointed with his Pro Day. 4.50 and an unofficial 4.44 for the 40yards. Rory Beggan hit 10/10 field goals including a 60-yard effort that still had plenty of legs for longer. I've no real idea what happens next for the IPP guys though.

Some teams will offer contracts, almost development contracts, and they'll see if they can demonstrate enough to keep being given development opportunities. From a PR sense, he'll be saying he's disappointed to keep interest up. Think he's got 3 offers, worth about £900k. He'll make more in a few years being close to making the NFL than most of a career playing Rugby in Wales. Clever part about trying now, is if it fails quickly, he's going to have enough time to get back to pro Rugby. If he makes it though, he'll have made considerably more.

Looks like Kansas is on, good luck to him getting on the roster.

Tough road ahead to get on any roster, might end up on a practice squad.
Something like 99% of college football players don't make it to the NFL, so the 1% have probably been the best players on every team they have ever been on all their lives.
The game at the NFL level is so incredibly complicated so many responsibilities, kick return might get his foot in the door, especially with the new rules.
Doubt he can grasp all the nuances needed for RB/WR any time soon, that is optimistic.
Good luck, hope he beats the odds

Charlie Smyth just scored a 3 year contract with New Orleans Saints. Rumours that Rory Beggan will get something too. Smyth is the longer kicker and still young, Beggan has a much higher success rate but is older. Can't wait to see LRZ get a run out. Edit: I think this is Smyth youtube.com/shorts/oQiLsMbZyeI?si=3W23Hg5yU29gT8yS
