Fucking hell. He's already one of the biggest stars in the world, but I imagine that kind of money would still make you turn your head. He would be wise to see how Ronaldo is feeling about it.

Remember as well it’s all tax free in those countries, whereas in Europe those salaries are basically halved.

Zaha has signed for Ronaldo’s side apparently. And Kante is finalised there now also.

Kante will be getting £100m a year for napping in the treatment room if recent seasons are anything to go by. Lad mustn't believe his luck.

Messi has now confirmed he's going to Miami.
A good move from the tourism ambassador for Saudi Arabia.

You've got to love that though. Like Tierney rocking up for an away game with his Tesco carrier bag.

Didn't he use the money to basically build a town back home?

Then he laughed, turned around and unlocked his Lambo. The presenters didn't bat an eyelid but it got a massive belly laugh out of me.

Good write up here on what the Saudis plan next:

Spot on: "A mistaken recent belief in football has long been that any regulation can only ever be reactionary. It has left the sport unable to resist the influence of private equity and autocratic states. By the time those in power realise there are problems with that, it is all too integrated; the imperfect marriage of short-term greed from within and long-term political aims from outside."

The Ryan Reynolds commercial effect. They're going to cream League 2.

I mean people are already talking about them more than 99% of EFL clubs. Maybe only Ipswich and Burnley have had more chatter.
It's very hard to drop down from League 2 so they've done the hardest part.

I see Keita has gone on a free to Bremen. Wasn’t he like £70m or something? All gone a bit under the radar somehow but that’s one of the all time biggest PL flops surely.

Was Keita injured basically the entire time? It feels like he was.

Keita wasn't far off Bellingham levels of hype at the time. He was supposed to be one of the most dominant midfielders of his generation. Would have been a £80-100m in today's market. Just goes to show the risk involved in these big money transfers. As many fail as succeed.
