Not sure the ref's to blame for your players being thick as shit. Also shit: Villa.

Hopefully this means the end of Gerrard.

Neither team deserved a point there.

Gerrard turning out to be Generic Shithouse Manager 42932 is about the least surprising thing ever.

I am arguing about them being awarded double the free kicks we were, and us getting more than double the yellows they did, because that’s not even remotely reflective of the game.

I used to think the City dominance would start to slip when Pep moved on but now I’m concerned that as long as they’ve got Haaland banging in 40 goals a season it’s going to be pointless even putting the league on every year.

Haaland will go to Spain in a few years. He'll move around every few years in his career. It's why he had a release clause put in his contract, same thing he did at Dortmund.
And why he picked Dortmund over Utd because we refused the clause. Got Ighalo instead.

I read the deal for Haaland to go to Madrid is basically already done. There’s some clause in his contract I think that specifically relates to Madrid. He will absolutely definitely go there after a few seasons.

Yep, seems to be a bit of an open secret that Man City is a pit stop for him.

They will get to enjoy him for a few years and then always have affection for him. Then they will get him back when he is 37 and it won't be nearly as good as they remember.

I mean you'd take 136 goals a season from one player even if it's for 2-3 years. Unless you're United of course.

I didn't really get to watch the game properly earlier, was out with the family (an event planned by a sister in law without consultation, the cheek!). I was able to sort of watch the first half on my phone but city are just so much better and the goals were so high quality that I'm not as depressed as I usually would be tonight. I didn't really learn anything new and I didn't expect much else it of the game. Granted you'd hope to leak far fewer goals but nonetheless as long as we recover and get back on track next week I'm not that bothered.

He will absolutely definitely go there after a few seasons. All the talk in the summer from every worthwhile journalist seemed to fit this. Basically “Madrid aren’t going anywhere, come to City get some medals and cash and you’ll still be under 25 by the time you’re wearing white”

I thought it would be about 3-0, 4-1. Its a game that always felt too soon. Hopefully it helped ETH figure out who the cowards are but other than that it was about as predictable as an absolute stuffing gets.

Can't think of one player that played well today. Maybe Antony.

Catching up on motd, Atwell not overruling the ref and sending Silva off for that handball can go in the PL terrible officiating hall of fame, which must be large enough to have its own noticeable gravitational pull at this point.

Garth Crooks: "Everton are still some way from becoming a top-six side but anything less will see Lampard fighting to retain his job." www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63112025What the fuck. How has he not yet gone the way of the Lawrosaurus.

I would have thought that out of all the big names City have signed he’d be the most likely to stick around for awhile given the family connection. He was born in England right? Not sure if he spent much time here growing up though.

To be fair Crooks isn’t a dinosaur in the same way the likes of Atkinson, Gray, Lawro, Keys etc. He’s just not very insightful, and if that’s an issue we can get rid of most of the young’ uns also.

If City don't win the Champions League with Haaland in the team then you wonder if they ever will.

That reminds me, I saw the BT Sports Saturday score show thing at the weekend, and Jeff Brazier is not only absolutely clueless but an awful presenter. I appreciate he's new-ish, but he was making Robbie Savage look like a veritable puppetmaster.
