Not exactly breaking news, but the BBC News ticket saying “Manchester United are rubbish” then them having to do an on air apology is the highlight of my day Should a news channel apologise for telling the truth?

Aren’t Spurs already on the hook for £60m+ just for Romero and Kulusevski?
Sounds like it’ll be a big summer.

I support Man United, I don’t hate the England team as much as I used too (the gerrard, lampard, terry, Cole years) as most of the players seem like decent people now. But I could never support them. The stuff with fans and boris etc just makes things worse. However I do support Germany (then argentina) and have done since I was a kid, which I know is weird. A United fan randomly supporting successful teams doesn't seem weird at all. Very good, it’s more to do with them being England’s biggest rivals. I’ve supported Germany since 1982, by the time Maradona popped up I supported them too. However I’d always support Germany over Argentina. My dad worked in Germany when I was very young and he’d bring me the football shirt and stuff when he came back. He nearly chucked me out of the house in 1990 in the World Cup semi final 😊 I’ve also supported man United since the 70s so hardly got their glory years when I was young and at school 😊

Apparently we’re getting Brenden Aaronson from RB Salzburg. Had two offers turned down in January but it seems a deal was made for summer subject to us staying up. Also it means Raphinha’s £22m relegation release clause doesn’t kick in, should get us at least another £40m which is nice.
Just the small matter of the ongoing court battle over Jean Kevin Augustin that’s likely to cost us £20m. Oops.

We’ve signed Fraser Forster.
Not exactly the game-changer signing we want but gives us some needed depth in that position for a couple of years.

He’s a terrific back-up to be fair. Surprised he hasn’t gone somewhere to be number one, he can’t be that old.

Does seem he could have done better than being Southampton’s number 2 last few years. Always seemed very good whenever we’ve faced him.

Been confirmed that the £150m investment from ENIC will be supplemental to money received for finishing 4th/getting CL and any fees for sold players.
We’ve also extended Kuluslevski’s loan for a season to delay that £30m payment.
Conte will have well over £200m to spend this summer.

Going balls deep with Conte then, good choice Spurs. Great season for Spurs when you look at it after such a shit start.
Got Conte in, kept Kane and looks like he's staying now City got Haaland and ended up in the top 4.
I'm happy with the ETH appointment but do wonder how different our season would be if we had gotten Conte in after Ole was sacked.

Pleased for Forster, he was great for us at Celtic.
We've actually had a decent relationship with Spurs recently, it seems: Joe Hart has really worked out and added much needed experience, and it's looking like we may well get the permanent move for Carter-Vickers over the line (c.£6m), who again has been fantastic at SPL level.

Going balls deep with Conte then, good choice Spurs. Yeah. It’s a real inflection point for us. We were in a dangerous spiral after Poch, struggling to get managers, failing to back the ones we did get, other teams threatening to overtake us etc. It was starting to look a little bleak. Getting Conte was pure luck. Bigger and better teams could and should have gone for him. But got him we did, and he’s done his part and somehow dragged us back into CL, and that’s given us a moment in time where we could actually really do something. I’m enormously happy (and a little surprised) that we seem to be actually seizing that moment.

I did think you would get top 4 and then piss him off by not investing but it seems everything is clicking into place. He does seem more settled there than at Chelsea, even the season they won the league he seemed to be whinging about something each week.
You can see why players love him but board members must shit themselves every time they see him.

I think back to that 3-0 loss against you guys that ended up in Nuno getting the sack and us getting Conte. If we'd won that game the opposite may have happened. Best defeat we've ever had by my reckoning.

Apparently Ronaldo vetoed Conte going to United, so we have him to thank for that.

That sounds like something that came right out of the Sun. I doubt the players have much clue who is coming until they are told who it is.

I wouldn't totally dismiss it, I imagine Ronaldo has a lot of sway with the spineless bastards at the club.
There's so much stuff getting leaked though so it's hard to tell what's made up and what's not.
