Not only should players be protected from violence but all the kids watching shouldn’t see it normalised either. Set a better example. It’s so much different to simply doing a bad challenge, actually kicking off.

Not only was it a good change retrospectively but Maddison was clearly out of sorts in that first half. I was very pleased when he swapped him out at HT.
