Got to give it to teams like Brighton and Brentford. Play some lovely football at times, when us bigger boys expect them to roll over.

The underlying metrics for Spurs suggest they are a decent side: they create significantly more good opportunities than they concede and are a bit unlucky to only be 9th. They should comfortably finish somewhere between 4th and 6th (depending somewhat on others) just by continuing as they are. Ignore the celebration police, that is good, especially if you play entertaining football to get there.
It's just a question of whether Ange can take them any further. Probably not if he's as dogmatic as he claims in interviews and lot seems to ride on the presumption that he isn't.

Looking totally devoid of confidence and we're totally reliant on a goal in transition or out of nowhere.
I kind of get the decision to drop the two Centre Backs after Thursday in theory but in practice it's a tough one to wrap your head around as it's clearly not the way forward in terms of how ETH claims he wants to play. He's been rotating the team prior to yesterday like a manager who was winning all his games.
In theory again this is a good long term play but in reality we've no rhythm and no spark and even less so than we did at the start of the season when we were actually playing ok.

They finished 6th last season, so have right to invest that money to stay there?

Chris Wood is the only player Haaland has overtaken for career Premier League goals who has subsequently pulled level with or gone past him.

So Man City have won the first round legal battles between it and the prem league relating to associated party transactions.
They're gonna get away with the lot, aren't they?

His PL record is way better than I thought it was. He's always been fairly decent but i didn't think he was averaging out to 1 in 3.
Edit: Re Chris Wood

Sounds a bit more nuanced than that. City won on 2 counts, others dismissed. Either way, unrelated to the 115 charges this lot.

Right then, Ange. WTF. "if you're not competitive it doesn't matter what you do." There's definitely truth in that, but making them competitive is literally his job. (I don't know how to embed twitter links it seems)WTF.. Making subs at 2-2 could have made us competitive again.

I'd like to know if City are actually intending to disprove the der Spiegel evidence or whether they will be arguing it's inadmissible as it was stolen.
The latter would be tantamount to admitting guilt. They have been loudly asserting their complete and total innocence of all charges so presumably they'll be welcoming the opportunity to explain those emails. All a misunderstanding I'm sure.

Newcastle and Chelsea I can understand as they're pretty much cut from the same cloth but Everton is a strange one, what's going on there?

Whoa, whoa, you’re not implying that there's something wrong with Newcastle being sponsored by a Saudi owned crypto casino are you?

They really seemed to be acting like they know the game is up and they’ll throw anything out they can to disrupt, distract and discredit.
I wouldn’t be shocked if the press started receiving ‘anonymous’ stories about the impartiality or private lives of PL execs or people on the panel soon

Which is fitting, as that's basically what the PL is.

So glad we not only got to miss out on football this weekend, but we also got to lose 2-1 against Greece in one of the worst games of football to offset Saka's injury which has sent him home.
Wish our players would just say they're injured before the international break.
