Ooof. Perfect, we cannot be. Judging by some of the commentators and pundits, it sounds like we’re scrapping to get fourth.

It's weird the way the cult of Dyche is attracting a queue of bands to play in our new stadium

Frustrated that we gave ourselves too much to do in the end. I think we were a bit unlucky to be honest but Arsenal were just more clinical and that’s the difference. I couldn't believe we were 3 nil down whilst playing really well. We really need to get Sonny back on the left (or, dare I say it, start to think about retiring him?) and pay that big Kane money for a clinical CF (who though?).

Think if Arsenal can hold on to wins before and win the Chaos ball match vs Shitchaoschester United then the title is theirs!
If not, well 115 charges will win the day.

You've got the confidence to go and beat City now.

ERrm from our glorious 1-1 draw at home vs Burnley? I think not.

No I meant Spurs have got the confidence to beat City now. Imagine the scenes our rivals handing the title to us.

While I still feel that White is fouling Vic, those clearly aren't being given this season so we need to do something about it. Vic either needs to be shoving him out of the way or there needs to be a defender whose job is to get him off the keeper. At the moment we are just allowing it to happen. I was expecting to lose so not too down about it. We had a marginal offside, hit the post and the kulu stumble that immediately led to a counter attack for the second goal. If we can play like that against Chelsea we should win as they are no where near as clinical. We just need a couple of wins before the end of the season to secure 5th spot. I think 4th is gone now.

Son back on the left and actually let him shoot from outside the area.

I think the coefficient situation has helped us a bit with fifth no longer likely a CL place. All we can really hope for is that results dictate that Spurs go into the City game needing to win for CL football next season.
If it's a dead rubber from their perspective we have no chance. In that scenario, expect some curiously stupid penalty concessions.
I'd like to think I'd grudgingly respect such shenanigans given I'd demand the same from our players if roles were reversed.
Next two weekends are key. Come on Unai, do exactly as well as Spurs but no better please. Make them have to choose.

Yeah Son needs to be back on the left. Hopefully Richi is fit enough to start. I'd actually be tempted to put Deki in at 10 and give Madders a break. He's been poor recently.

We'll go and try to win the game vs City regardless. If it means you end up winning the league then so be it, you deserve it. We had our chance to mess up your title bid yesterday and didn't take it.

The long breaks between games have actually hurt us it seems.
And yeah Maddison hasn't found form since coming back.

Who could Spurs realistically get in that could hit the ground running as a number 9?

I'd say the only one who could hit the ground running and be an upgrade on Richi immediately would be Toney. We've got some good youth players but they are going to be a couple of years away. It seems Scarlett and Parrott haven't quite progressed how we had hoped. But then again we thought that about Kane when he had various unsuccessful loan spells.

Isak if Newcastle are forced to sell, but City would probably snap him up just because they can.

Very admirable attitude, perhaps I'm too cynical. Can't help but feel that if Spurs could win the title and Arsenal could stop them by losing to a rival in the last week, I'd want us to lose.

Who could Spurs realistically get in that could hit the ground running as a number 9? Solanke, Cunha, Muniz, they will probably go abroad if they are shopping though Guirassy or Haller? He might go back to Celtic for Kyogo Furuhashi, not a No9 but lightning when he is used right by a manager not called Brendan Rodgers

It's weird the way the cult of Dyche is attracting a queue of bands to play in our new stadium I've really enjoyed Dyche getting a lot of plaudits over the weekend. He was hugely and unfairly maligned by a lot of people despite the amazing job he had done with Burnley. I've got a lot of time for him and he's absolutely not the football dinosaur a lot paint him to be. I've listened to a couple of long form interviews with him and he comes across really, really well. Delighted for both him and Everton.

I think they will go into with the best intentions, but when City bore them to death and score the first goal, they will lose interest

After a few impressive appearances at the start Werner really is a dead duck, isn't he?

Toney could be an interesting shout, seems like a better fit for you guys than us though you don't play like Brentford either. A lot depends on what Brentford ask for as he's not worth more than £50m imo. Calvert Lewin is available (but made of glass) and Ollie Watkins might be given their FFP considerations. The latter probably only an option if Spurs pip Villa to that last Champions League spot though. Solanke a good option too but probably not the budget choice he once was. Otherwise you'll surely be looking at the same strikers as everyone else in Europe: Osimhen, Gyokeres, Zirksee etc. I'm not sure we are still in the market for a striker, but the latter two are my preferred options for Arsenal if buying abroad.

There's also Ferguson at Brighton if you were prepared to give them your Kane money.

Brighton must be rolling in it, only McCallister has been worth the squillions they have pocketed

Hadn't heard of him, but apparently he's got 24 goals in his last 7 games. Pretty good going. Danish too, so surely we must refer to him as the new Nick Bendtner.
