Did you find one? Was it from Lidl?

Something random. I've got some minced beef and a can of enchilada sauce. I'm going to brown the meat and put it in the slow cooker along with the sauce and put some small chopped potatoes in. Er and then see what happens really.

Add cheese and pour it over doritos for easy nachos

Didn't have any nachos but I did melt some cheese on it after mixing in some herbs and cayenne pepper. It was pretty good tbf.

Just a random use up some random veg from the fridge pasta dish, which somehow ended up being absolutely fucking lovely.
Started with the old trusty "I don't know what the fuck I'm going to cook but I'll start with this and see what else is in the fridge" mirepoix, then added some pepper, courgette, garlic and chilli and some passata and random herbs and a bit of dried chilli for good luck. Finally used the random pasta that we got from TK Maxx most likely before the first lockdown as it was about to pass the best before date.
That probably sounds a bit shit and basic, but it was really nice and one of those meals that still feels tasty in your belly afterwards. (dont know if that's just a me thing though) Chuffed that I made a huge batch of it anyway.

Sounds good to me and better still it’ll taste even nicer in the next batch without all the effort creating.

Just got home from a 700g bone in rib eye, chips, chop sauce and veg at Blacklock. Pigs head on toast to start.
London steak lovers: it's £5 per 100g on rib eye, sirloin and porterhouse on Mondays, with cuts up to 1.2kg.
Will update the Poo Diaries thread when I give birth tomorrow.

I'm cooking up some sort of sausage stew/pasta sauce thing. Onion, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, garlic, anchovy, tomatoes, mushroom and sausages. Fuck it, I might chuck some cannellini beans and peppers in too, clear out some space in the kitchen.

Spag bol tonight. Basic AF but it is with Mrs Nano's lovely homemade tomato sauce (passata with oregano, basil, onion, a bit of anchovy and a metric fucktonne of roasted garlic).

I had some black pepper noodles last night, with Itsu dumplings from Sainsbury's I'm glad my local one had started stocking Itsu products. Up until a few weeks ago, it'd been the best part of 18 monnths or since I'd stepped foot into an Itsu. Missed the sushi.

Those arseholes and elbows really add a special something. The bits of foreskin and anus really add to the texture.

The boy's birthday today so it appears that takeaway pizza is on the cards for this evening, gonna go extra dirty and get me a chicken shish instead.
Incidentally we went to McDonald's earlier, I (as usual) avoided any of the muck, l have often tried a mouthful of this or that, just so I can speak from experience, I just cannot fathom out the attraction of it all.
I realise it could be argued there's some hypocrisy in my post but McDonald's just seems to be the absolute lowest of the low.

Doing a beercan chicken with a bit of smoke on the BBQ.
Will be the first time attempting it but heard the outcome tastes amazing.

Scotch fillet with new potatoes, broccoli and mushrooms. Normally eat out for steak because my cooker and pans can't do steak justice, and even if they could I would fuck it up anyway. However, we're in lockdown I have no choice.
Anyway, as expected I couldn't get a decent sear on the steak thanks to my kitchen and the fact that I'm half-drunk, and I overcooked it as a result. It was tender though. Veg was okay, but my dressing wasn't flavourful enough.

When I get my lazy ass out of bed, it will be roast beef in rosemary and garlic with roast potatoes, steamed broccoli, cauliflower cheese and Vichy carrots. Possibly some green beans as we got given a load. Veggie roast as well. Dessert will be home made Apple crumble.
I'm also going to make a soup with the rest of the beans. I've got to get up first though.

Salmon. Turned out pretty good. Crispy skin and medium rare in the middle.

Actually, what do I have for dinner today? I had a lovely roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings yesterday courtesy of the mother while I'm still in ENGERLAND but it's a bank holiday Monday and I fancy something terrible. Like a Dominos.

My kid turned vegetarian a few weeks ago, and yesterday was our first Sunday roast since his, er, transition. I made a homemade nut roast from a recipe my mum used when I was a kid.
It was really tasty, but by god, is there any version of nut loaf that doesn't look like it's just been fished out of a toilet?

As a former veggie, no, no there is not but I rarely had nut roast growing up.

I find it helps if you put it in a latex sleeve and chill in the freezer after forming it.

Nut roast won't be a regular thing, but Mrs. hedben is already fretting about what he's going to eat on Christmas day, so we're trialling options. dfunked funnily enough we already split the rest into portions, wrapped in foil in the freezer. But they're kiddy portions so they'd hardly touch the sides, er, figuratively speaking EDIT- just had leftover nut roast fried in bacon fat and then crumbled into a roast chicken sandwich. Epic lunch. Turns out nut roast WILL be a regular thing after all.
