Initially I wasn't keen but these images sell it to me a lot more. I was a hard no but once I actually see it in a store I'll likely cave. ![](https://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/76989-1/76989_alt8.jpg) ![](https://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/76989-1/76989_alt9.jpg)

Those photos really nail the kind of person likely to spend 70 quid on a Lego creature from a video game.

Also, whoever approved the photoshop of the shelves needs fired.
Unless this is a secret announcement of a new range of hand-sized bricks

Attractive people with their lives in order, naturally.
I did chuckle at the "adult friendly" tag on the website.

I guess the latest trend in shelving among those making a few hundred k a year are units built out of unfinished plywood
Zoom in on the edges…

It looks cool but there's a tonne of other franchises that would work better with Lego than Horizon...

For my birthday I had this beauty arrive: www.lego.com/en-gb/product/land-rover-defender-42110It's pretty intimidating. The complexity and size of the drive train (4 forward gears, reverse and a high/low ratio selector,) is going to take ages on its own. If/when I finish it I'm tempted by one of the aftermarket LED lighting kits you see on amazon, anyone have any experience of these? Do they look good and work well?

Currently building the tumbler. So much fun and looks tits. My first proper 'expensive' (as in, wife went mental) set I've ever had and treasuring it. Have renovated office for WFH and dedicated quite a lot of shelf space just for lego.

I quite like the HZD set, are they doing more?

Although that creature always makes me think of the Enterprise being a transformer.

I quite like the HZD set, are they doing more? Rumours are that there is a Thunderjaw set coming too. Likely to be more pricey, but that would be pretty cool.

Just finished building the McLaren F1 car. It's bloody gorgeous. Pics? I haven't done the photography yet, but there are a bunch of pics here. It's bigger than I was expecting - it's two feet long. No functions to speak of other than steering and working suspension but it's a really enjoyable build and quite frankly just the chassis and suspension alone would be a lovely display piece. Just need to find somewhere to put it now. I don't think Mrs Boo is going to want it on the dining room table much longer.

That F1 car looks big, especially with the human for scale in the promo pics.
How did those hubcaps work on those wheels, Boo?

Basically a standard set of wheels. You then have a disc which you have to apply the Pirelli sticker to, and that fits on with a couple of smaller plates and an axle running through the wheel. You could just leave them off if you didn't like the way they appear, and it would still look fine.

Just finished Zanes Titan Mech and it was great fun. Looks cool imo and would definitely get more mechs. Really malleable and solid. Will post a pic but son has insisted on taking it to bed. It’s great value per brick too.

This makes me think, we need 40k Lego. Proper room-scale titans.

I've converted the garage into an office/ Warhammer painting studio/Lego room/ man cave.
The space is done - just need furniture!

I would love a man cave, I'm happy to settle for a garage I'm gradually turning into a nice workshop.

I wish I could work out a cost effective way to get all my old 40k figures, Blood Bowl and Space Hulk shipped from the UK to Japan.
Not that Tokyo apartments have space for a man cave, so it'd probably cause friction. But it'd be cool to play Space Hulk and Blood Bowl with the kids, and maybe even getting them into figure painting would be a good alternative to screen time.
There are GW stores here, but the price is eyewatering. It probably is over there too, but the last time I bought those kind of things was back in the 90s so I'm used to 90s pricing. I think Blood Bowl was 20 quid.

Boxed GW games in the 90s still cost £40-50.
I have 3rd edition BB and that was £40. I have a coverted Warhammer Quest in really good condition too (£50 when it first released)
