...that much...
He's a very good player and has the potential to be GOAT, but he has much to prove, yet sometimes acts like he has already proven everything and the world should acknowledge that.

Not rating Mbappe is definitely a take. More personality-wise tbh, he's acting like he's already on top of the world. The clash with personalities like Vini Jr.'s in the dressing room should be interesting... (Although tbh in the few games we've watched with PSG he tends to be a whole lot of missed chances and hot air Maybe not indicative of his overall performance though)

He won the World Cup when he was 19 and scored a hat trick in another World Cup final... I'd feel pretty on top of the world if that was me...

Also, Madrid will play Mbappe and Vini Jr and maybe even Rodrygo together. They will at least be rotated. That lot plus Bellingham... Absolutely frightening team. Possibly even Alphonso Davies. And let's not forget Stoke's Joselu.
Bonkers squad.

Obviously you’re not going to turn Mbappe down if you’re Florentino Perez but it will be interesting to see if adding a Galactico style signing to a squad that seems to have incredible team unity rocks the boat.
And what would this mean for Joselu’s loan spell? Are they gonna let him go back to his parent club just like that?? The man once nearly hit a corner flag with a shot from 20 yards out here on Tyneside.

He won the World Cup when he was 19 and scored a hat trick in another World Cup final... I'd feel pretty on top of the world if that was me... What I mean is he's acting like he already has the career and decorations of someone like CR7 or Messi... While still being what, 24, 25? He's undoubtedly very skilled, and of course the World Cup is a massive achievement, but even so he's let it go to his head a bit too much (not entirely his fault to be fair, even the freaking president had asked him to stay at PSG a while back...). There are many players with just as many (often many more) achievements to their name and much longer careers, with barely a fraction of his attitude. Even the whole deal with him leaving PSG, isn't this like the fifth time he's announced it unprompted? Why does he feel the need to repeat it? As for him joining Real being a frightening prospect... I honestly think it's a bit hit or miss. When introducing a world class player to an already cohesive and strong team, we've seen both cases where it works (Haaland at City for instance) and cases where it doesn't (Ronaldo to United, where ever since his departure they haven't managed to get back to their prior standards -for various reasons, but it does seem he messed up the squad's cohesion a good bit-). Real are a youthful team, especially up front, and both Mbappe and their players are a bit volatile. If too many heads are butted it could be trouble... (Obviously this is all IMO)

I kinda get what you're saying. There's an arrogance around him, which is fine - but until he delivers in another team, it all feels a bit hollow - despite his achievements with the national team. That said, he's an absolutely brilliant player so whatever and I don't blame him.

Maybe it's French thing. Henry was similar arrogance wise.

It turned out Henry suffered significantly throughout his career with dealing with the pressure, expressing his emotions, and forever wanting to prove himself to his dad.
I think it can be a lot more complicated than simply arrogance and/or high self confidence.

I’d be a right cunt if I was as talented, handsome and cool as Henry was during his Arsenal days

Multiple players from Real Madrid as well, especially Modric (in some cases only off the pitch, but still better than Mbappe's overall behavior)
Also Mane, Iniesta, Ronaldinho (fake passport screw-up aside), OG Ronaldo, Xavi, Pele (with the admittedly rather big exception of the mess with the daughter he refused to recognize), even Rashford is doing a lot of good off the pitch (for an example of someone close to Mbappe's age)... I could probably find more, and even in the more spotty cases they typically didn't display Mbappe's behavior on and off the pitch.
(For the record, I am in no way saying that Mbappe is the only young footballer that seems to be acting like a bigger shot than he has been so far, far from it. He's just one of the most famous ones and the subject of the day)

How many famously humble and wildly successful footballers have there been? Dennis Bergkamp perhaps? Proper Ronaldo too. I guess it depends on the definition but he was quite introverted and didn't seem prone to self regard. I guess we didn't see as much of the personalities of players from that era though.

Milner was a child prodigy and managed to win everything ever and never seemed to get much of an ego from it.

And you'd be surprised how many party boys can become introverted later in life (or already are) or vice versa

It doesn't have to be extreme of humble to cunt.

x.com/DaleJohnsonESPN/status/1793387436761854212?t=n9IIKeKqaKFSJ3mODNy4Ww&s=19Pretty interesting. TLDR Italy could have nine teams in Europe next year including 6 in the Champions League IF Atalanta finish 5th domestically. It'll likely be bad for their coefficient though as results are averaged across participating clubs so individual Italian club wins will be worth less for next season's calculation.

Is the CL final on youtube again this year?
I tried looking it up online and all the top results were Reach type sites that either crashed my phone browser or had so many pop-ups and in-line ads that it was impossible to find the actual text of the article
