Take blankets. Lots and lots of blankets. It's always colder than you think when glamping.

We have booked our first abroad trip in 3 years, 2 weeks in a euro camp in the south of France. Cagnes su mer, not far from nice. It’s near the train line too, so we can do day trips to Antibes, Cannes etc. Kids are really excited and so are we, but also nervous as it’s our first abroad holiday since the youngest got diabetes type 1.

What's a Euro camp? Chain of campsite places for families?

What's a Euro camp? Chain of campsite places for families? Yeah you have a swimming pool, restaurant, bar mini market and static caravans mainly. They have activities for kids etc and crappy outdoor entertainment in the evening for the kids (discos etc). They are normally gated too so the kids can go off make friends and feel independent👍

parents at the nursery our kids went to used to go to one of those down in Montpellier every year, they bloody loved it. Their 3 kids would be off playing and getting entertained all day while they slept on sunloungers for 2 weeks

Booked two weeks off later in the year and we're probably going to train it to Spain due to my missus' ever increasing fear of flying. Will be three years without flying this year, and it's looking quite likely that she won't be convinced to do it again which is doing my head in, but there's only so far you can press the matter.
Was a lovely trip last time we did it mind you. Passed a massive lake with flamingos at one point.

Sounds like my time at Butlins when I was a kid - I used to love the freedom in that, wandering around, things like rides being free so you could just jump on etc.

They give a good balance and the kids love them. Did the first one when my youngest (who is 8 now) was 1. Highly recommended This is the one in St Tropez if you don't mind spending a bit more en.riviera-villages.com/Kon-Tiki

Driving down? Long old way that! When I was a kid we drove from Hampshire all the way to Denmark and back. Got stuck in Germany on the motorway when there was a forest fire raging on. I also remember my dad going the wrong direction for an hour..

I want to go on Crush's Coaster but it has the longest queues and I'm not prepared to wait more than 40 minutes for any ride, so we can hopefully do it during magic hours or evening.

Just noticed absurdly cheap flights to Bari next month (17 quid return) with Wizz Air. Sounds as if they're shit, charge you a shitload if you don't check online etc. but I'm still tempted at that price. Anyone ever tried them?

Yeah, I've flown WizzAir to Poland before. Was a while ago, but seemed a pretty standard budget airline.

Sounds as if as long as you're organised, check-in online, have your boarding passes sorted in advance and don't try and take the piss with luggage then they're not much different to the likes of easyJet. There are loads of Trip Advisor "worst airline ever" reviews but seems to be almost always outraged people getting charged because they didn't check in online.

Wizz have been around for about 20 years.
It's a standard "low cost" airline and probably one of the biggest in Europe for passenger numbers.

My experience of them was identical to any other for short-haul.

Yup, I have the choice of Ryanair or Wiz when going to Poland for work and prefer Wiz.

I've the opportunity to do a "working holiday" where I take my laptop and do a few "half days" but in the sunshine.
Where would people recommend is reliable for wifi and not far out of our timezone? (+2 hours at most)

Depending on budget, Cape Town is nice this time of year and because you fly straight down, in the right time zone.
