311-112 So still a sizeable twat ratio. Indeed. And at a cost of many lives too. Still, at least the aid package is now there.

"There's like dozens of separatist groups that don't have aligning goals aside from kicking the junta out. "
Bit like Syria then?

Not entirely 1:1 with Syria, but yeah. Some of those groups have been fighting with each other (and the military) for *decades*, and although they basically played nice when Myanmar was a (quasi) democracy 5 years ago, I've nfi how they're going to sort out their ambitions in a post-junta power vacuum.
It's stuff we really don't hear about that much. There was huge (and justified) international outcry over the Rohingya refugees, but they're only one of many ethnic groups in the conflict.

Hungary has concluded an agreement with Beijing that provides for “cooperation in judicial and security matters,” wrote German newspaper, Die Welt. In February, China’s Minister of Public Security, Wang Xiaohong, met with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Interior Minister Sandor Pinter. Now, police officers from the two countries will be able to patrol together, the Ministry of Interior told Telex.
Orban is a traitor to the EU and has been for years, any dissident from china will not be safe and sure they will give china access to any Hungary/EU police data that the CCP does not like

Bleak news from ukraine with retreats by Ukrainians. Underarmed and too stretched soldiers had to abandon many positions. But didn't stop them inflicting some serious damage to the invaders.
Not enough though.
Good news about shake up in russia mod. Doubtful the new guy will accomplish what putin needs. But russian economy being war centric with all industries fueling the military complex means there is a lot of power left in the nation to keep fighting. So the new guy needs to squeeze as much as possible from the nation to fund the army and provide the equipment.

This sounds like something that could snowball into World War 1.

This sounds like something that could snowball into World War 1. Aye, first thought was Franz Ferdinand. Seen as a Putin puppet wouldn’t be surprised if it is politically motivated.

Fico has been very chummy with Putin and caused all sorts of problems with the EU and Ukraine, it does look like a political assassination attempt rather than someone with mental health issues like John Hinkley Jr when he shot Reagan.
After what happened to Shinzo Abe it's still a surprise when someone gets close enough to try it.

Pretty crazy non-paywalled story by the Washington Post about a private WhatsApp group involving Eric Adams, the New York mayor, a bunch of billionaires, and some prominent figures in right wing of Israeli government.
